The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2018 for admission to Symbiosis University Law program took place on 5th May, 2018 in various centers all over India. It was for the first time, that Symbiosis University conducted an online test. However, the SLAT question paper pattern and format remained the same as last year. The paper comprised of a total of 150 questions and the total time given to complete the test was 150 minutes. The five sections in the exam were of Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge, Analytical reasoning, Legal reasoning, and Logical Reasoning. There was no negative marking and each question had 4 options and carried one mark each. The exam was conducted with utmost care and cautions to ensure glitch-free test conduction. Symbiosis University provides a five-year integrated law program in its campuses in Pune, Noida and Hyderabad. Section 1: SLAT Logical Reasoning
No of Questions: 30
This section was the first in the paper and the questions were fairly easy. This section at max could be covered in about 30-35 minutes.

Section 2: SLAT Legal Reasoning
This section was again, easy. The questions checked the legal knowledge of the students to a certain extent as there were some questions in which the factual propositions lacked legal principles. There were questions from Indian Penal Code, torts, Constitution but Contract Act was the most asked subject as there were almost 14-15 questions. The section was fairly easy; and one could have easily attempted at least 27-28 questions in 30 minutes.

Section 3: SLAT Analytical Reasoning
This section can also be categorized as an easy one. The questions were not purely based on mathematics but also checked the reasoning ability of the students on a thorough basis. A score in the range of 22-24 could be considered as a good score in this section.

Section 4: SLAT Reading Comprehension
This section covered five passages from a variety of topics. The length of the passages was fairly medium. The questions were mostly direct and could be answered easily by referring to the passages. This section checked the understanding and comprehending abilities of the students. An attempt of 22-25 can be considered a good one.
One passage on had seven questions. One passage on had five questions. Apart from these, there were passages based on, Emergency situation in the Maldives and one on Khap Panchayat & Honour Killing. The passage based on Utopia can be termed as Difficult. Most of the questions were Direct, of which two were based on Vocabulary.

Section 5: SLAT General Knowledge
This section involved questions from both static and current GK in which there were just 9 questions from Static GK, and the rest were from Current Affairs. The questions covered all areas such as geography, economic awareness, sports, awards, etc. The level of difficulty of this section can be considered easy-to-moderate.
