JIPMAT 2022 Exam Analysis

JIPMAT or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test was conducted on 3rd July 2022 from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM. NTA conducted the exam on behalf of IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya. The two colleges will provide admissions to aspiring candidates based on their JIPMAT scores. The national level exam will be conducted in online mode.
The exam contained 100 questions divided into three sections –Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. For every right answer, candidates will be awarded +4 marks, and for every wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted.

JIPMAT 2022: Section-wise Exam Analysis
Quantitative Aptitude
The section had a total of 33 questions from different topics. Arithmetic-based questions dominated the section, and few other questions were a mix of concepts. There were 4-5 questions based on Ratio & Proportion. There were 5-6 questions based on TSD & 2-4 questions based on Time & Work. There were two questions on Height & Distances. Other topics such as Averages, Quadratic, mensuration etc. also had 1-3 questions. There was only one question on Logarithm. There were no questions from Higher Maths. Overall feel of section was easy as most of the questions were direct.
An attempt of 26-28 questions with 80%+ accuracy will be considered good to ace this section.

Verbal Ability
It was one of the easiest sections of all. The section had about 34 questions, and it took just 25-30 minutes to complete all the questions. There were questions based on Sentence Rearrangement, idioms/phrases, spellings, Grammar Part Error etc. There were a few short Reading Comprehensions and questions based on them were direct & easy.  The section was dominated by grammar &vocabulary-based questions. The overall feel of the section was again easy.
An attempt of 28-30 questions with 75%+ accuracy will be considered good to ace this section.
Logical Reasoning
In this section, only one question was asked from Data Interpretation. The section was dominated by questions from logical reasoning and was of mixed concepts. There were three DI sets and a few questions based on them were calculation intensive. There were 4-5 questions based on Syllogism. Questions based on areas such as Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding & other conventional areas were again easy. There were also a few questions on Data – Sufficiency and all of them were based on mathematics. Overall feel of the section was easy to slightly moderate.
An attempt of 28-30 questions with 80%+ accuracy will be considered good to ace this section.
Expected JIPMAT Cut-off
A student who has attempted 88+ questions with an average accuracy of around 80% can expect a call.
