JIPMAT 2025
JIPMAT 2025, or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test, is a unique opportunity for 12th-grade students to pursue an IPM at IIM Jammu or IIM Bodhgaya. Conducted by the NTA, this 5-year integrated program covers BBA and MBA degrees. The JIPMAT has a 2.5-hour time limit and consists of 100 questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. Application forms are expected to be available in April 2025.
JIPMAT is an alternative to gain admission to your preferred IIMs. The competition in JIPMAT is lower than that of the CAT exam. The IPM program provides students with the option to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Management Studies after three years or complete the integrated program, which lasts for five years and results in an MBA qualification. Eligibility requires 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in HSC/Class 12. IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, and potentially other institutes participated last year, creating a pathway for early entry into IIMs and other prestigious business schools with dual business management degrees.

JIPMAT Preparation Tips
Preparing for JIPMAT 2025 requires strategic planning despite its perceived ease compared to other competitive exams. With around 7,000 to 8,000 candidates competing for 120 seats (60 seats for IIM Jammu and 60 seats for IIM Bodh Gaya), consider the following tips:
  • Prioritize Strengths: Begin by revising your strengths from the last three years of school before addressing weaknesses.
  • Utilize Breaks Effectively: Incorporate tasks during breaks that indirectly contribute to JIPMAT preparation, such as reading books and making notes.
  • Focus on VARC Last: Many find VARC the easiest section; therefore, it's recommended to leave its preparation towards the end.
  • Mock Tests and Previous Papers: It is recommended to solve as many mock tests as possible and review previous question papers from IPMAT to get an idea of the difficulty level of JIPMAT.
  • Math Review: Brush up on Math concepts from classes 10, 11, and 12 to solidify your preparation for the Quantitative Ability section.
