DU JAT 2019 Analysis

University of Delhi in collaboration with National Testing Agency (NTA), conducted this year’s  Joint Admission Test for admissions to Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)/BBE and BFIA on July 06, 2019 in two different time slots. There were 100 questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. . Each question carried four marks and there was a negative mark of one mark for each incorrect answer.  The mode of the paper was online.The paper had four sections and questions were all jumbled.  The four areas were General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. The overall feel of the paper was moderate
General Awareness
This year, the General Knowledge questions were primarily from current affairs. A number of questions were asked from the month of May. Overall, the level of difficulty in this section was Easy. Also there was a question based on tagline as well.
The questions based on personalities like Sponsor of Afghanistan Cricket Team, GeetaGopinath, Swatch Sarwekshan, Minister for Small and Micro Enterprises ministry, etc. were easily handled by most of the students.

General English
This section had questions covering conventional areas such as vocabulary grammar, completion, & comprehension The level of the questions was easy except one or two moderate level questions. There was one RC based on history with 5 questions. All the questions based on it were direct and factual. As usual this section was dominated by vocabulary , followed by grammar. All the question were doable and should not have been given more than 15-20 minutes.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning
Overall the level of Reasoning Questions wasmoderate. Majority of the questions were from Analytical Reasoning and students found it manageable. The second slot had a question dealing with the concept of mirror image.
