NLAT 2020 - Notification, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria

National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore announced yesterday(3rd Sept 2020) that the law college would not accept CLAT scores from this academic session. The university will conduct its entrance exam, which is the National Law Admission Test (NLAT). Law aspirants who aspire to get into NLSIU must apply directly to the university and complete the admission process by filling the NLAT UG 2020 entrance application.
NLSIU chose to conduct NLAT 2020 because of the repetitive postponement of CLAT 2020 due to COVID-19. NLSIU follows a trimester system, for which admissions must be done by the end of September 2020. If the admissions are delayed, NLSIU will result in a ‘Zero Year’ with no admission to its law programmes. Therefore, the current pandemic situation led to NLSIU conducting separate entrance for admissions for 2020 academic session.
Along with the announcement of this significant change, the university even released the new procedure for NLAT UG 2020.
