DU JAT (DUET) Eligibility Criteria

Delhi University conducts the DUET, formerly DU JAT for admissions to the BBA/BMS programmes. The university puts forward a certain eligibility criterion for the aspirants who wish to apply for the DU JAT 2022. Before filling the application form it is recommended that the aspirants must check the DU JAT eligibility criteria 2022 laid down by the JAT committee.
Candidates should have a minimum of 60% in four subjects with English and Mathematics as two compulsory subjects and the other two subjects can be those approved by the DU. DU JAT 2022 Eligibility
  • All the aspirant taking the DU JAT 2022 should have cleared 12th standard form a board recognized by the Delhi University.
  • Candidates with the result awaiting status can even apply for the DU JAT 2022.
  • The General category aspirants should have 60% marks in four subjects with mandatory English and Mathematics. Along with that, they should even have studied subjects from the list of subjects accepted by DU in class 12th.
  • Here are the subjects approved by Delhi University in intermediate as the other two elective subjects other than Mathematics and English: Accountancy, Arabic, Bengali, Botany, Biology/ Biotechnology, Chemistry, Commerce/Business Studies, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics, English, French, Geography, Geology, German, Hindi, Italian, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Persian, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Spanish, Statistics, Urdu, History, Political Science, Zoology, Home Science, Punjabi.
  • For the reserved category, which are, SC, ST, Children and Widows of army personal (CW), PwD, the minimum percentage required is 55% in each of the four subjects considered for computing the aggregate for DU JAT.

  • For the OBC (non-creamy) candidates the minimum percentage is 54% in each of the four subjects being considered for the aggregate.  
  • Those candidates who have applied with the result awaiting status, have to produce their qualifying exam certificates at the time of counselling/selection process in BMS, BBA (FIA), and BA Hons Business Economics in the colleges accepting the DU JAT scores.
  • Candidates without the mark-sheets or any confirmation of the results will not be considered eligible for admission in any college of DU.
  • The candidates belonging to any other category also need to produce and provide their certificates during the admission process.
  • Candidates with compartment or those appearing for the improvement of class 12th board exams will not be eligible to take the DU-JAT.
DU JAT 2022- Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nation Candidates
The Foreign Nation Candidates who want to apply for the DU JAT have to apply through the Foreign Student Advisor against the prescribed quota as guided by the Delhi University.

DU JAT 2022 Eligibility for SC/ST
  • There is a reservation of 22% of seats for the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe category. 15% seats are reserved for the SC and 7% for the ST category.
  • For SC and ST category candidates, a relaxation of 5% is given in the eligibility condition and merit, for the admission in a particular course.

DU JAT 2022 Eligibility- Reservation of seats for Other Backward Classes
Check the reservation of seats for the OBC category:
  • 27% of seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the OBC category.
  • After the candidates have qualified the written and interview rounds of DU JAT, then during the time of counselling and admission in the DU colleges, the admission committee has to ensure that the candidates do not belong to the creamy layer and their OBC certificate is as per the guidelines of the central government.
Steps to take after checking the eligibility criteria of DU JAT
Upon checking the eligibility norms you can fill the DU JAT application forms online. The registrations for the same have begun from August 2022. The candidates will be appearing in DU JAT 2022 to be notified in an attempt to get a coveted seat in the 15 participating DU colleges.
