JIPMAT 2026 Admission Process

1. Eligibility for JIPMAT 2026
   • Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC exam from any stream in the year 2024, 2025 or is appearing in 2026. The candidate must have passed X class exam in the year not before 2022. IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu may have different eligibility requirements.
   • The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in 10th and 12th standards would be calculated based on the Board’s regulations. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.
   Given below is a detailed step-wise process of admission to IIM Jammu & IIM Bodhgaya through JIPMAT 2026.

Selection process for IIM Jammu through JIPMAT

1. Eligibility criteria for IIM Jammu
   • Candidate should have passed class XII/HSC or equivalent exam in 2024,2025 or appearing in 2026. The candidate must have passed class X/ SSC or equivalent examination in 2022 or later.
   • Candidate should have a Minimum 60% in class X/ SSC and class XII/ HSC or equivalent exams (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category). Candidates likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31, 2026, can also apply.
   • Applicants pursuing their XII class from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE and IB can also apply.

2. Selection process for IIM Jammu
   IIM Jammu conducts its selection process based on-
   • JIPMAT 2026 conducted by NTA.
   • Final merit list prepared based on JIPMAT Score and gender diversity.
   There is no interview round conducted by IIM Jammu.

4. IIM Jammu tie-breaking rule for merit list
   If the overall composite scores of two or more students are found to be the same, then they will be ranked on the following basis.
   • Overall JIPMAT score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • Class XII score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • Class X score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • VARC section score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • QA section score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • DILR section score (higher score will be ranked higher),
   • Appearance in Class XII (recent appearance will be ranked lower),
   • Appearance in Class X (recent appearance will be ranked lower),
   • Date of Birth (younger candidate will be ranked lower).

6. IIM Jammu Merit List Criteria
   IIM Jammu prepares its merit list based on the composite score of the JIPMAT exam, academic profile of classes 10th and 12th, and gender diversity, as given in the table below.

7. IIM Jammu Offer Acceptance Fee & Withdrawal
   • A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Jammu has to pay an offer acceptance fee of Rs 50,000 within the stipulated date.
   • If a candidate accepts the admission offer for the program, his/her offer acceptance fee will be adjusted against the Semester I Fee.
   • If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date, the fee will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000 as processing charges.
   • The refund process will be initiated after the registration of the IPM 2026-31 batch.
   • If a candidate applies for withdrawal after registration, no refund will be admissible.
   • In case of withdrawal from the program after registration, no refund of the offer acceptance fee & Semester Fee will be made.

Selection process for IIM Bodhgaya through JIPMAT

1. Eligibility criteria for IIM Bodhgaya
   • Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC exam in any stream or equivalent with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more in 2025 or appearing in 2026. Candidates who are likely to complete class XII/ HSC or equivalent by 31 July 2026 can also apply. The candidate must have passed 10th class exam with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more in the year not before 2023.
   • The percentage obtained by the candidate in Class X and XII would be calculated based on the Board’s regulations. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.
   • The application of the candidates, who are appearing in Class XII exam, will be provisional till their Class XII result. The candidates who do not score the required score as above will be considered to be out of the application/admission process.

2. Selection process for IIM Bodhgaya
   IIM Bodhgaya conducts its selection process based on-
   • JIPMAT 2026 conducted by NTA.
   • Merit List prepared on the basis of category-wise sectional percentile
3. Seats/Intake for IIM Bodhgaya
   The intake for IPM program will be around 120.
   • Government of India Rules for Reservation in admission will be applicable which is as follows-

   • In case of an optimal number of girls, in various reservation categories, that are available in this pool of Gender-Neutral Seats, then the remaining 30% of seats will be Gender-Neutral. Otherwise, the remaining 30% of seats will be offered as a combination of Gender-Neutral and Supernumerary Girls (SNG) seats.
   • This provision of supernumerary seats is to promote a healthy gender ratio on the campus while keeping merit as the primary consideration.
4. Tie-breaking rule for Merit List for IIM Bodhgaya

   • After the merit list declaration, candidates will be asked to register for the expression of interest. The candidates who will successfully register in the expression of interest will receive the admission offer as per the vacant seat and his/her order in the merit list.
   • A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Bodh Gaya and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send along with the Offer Acceptance, an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs 60,000/-.
   • If a candidate registers for the program, his/her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against the Semester I Fee.
   • If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified by the Institute, the Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000/- as processing charges.
   • If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified by the Institute, no refund will be admissible.
   • In the event of withdrawal from the Program after registration, NO refund of the Offer Acceptance Amount & Semester Fee will be made.
   • Detailed Offer Acceptance and Withdrawal procedure will be provided at the time of the Admission Offer.

JIPMAT 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
