One of the most sought after undergraduate program in the country, Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is a five year course conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore. Every year IIM, Indore conducts its national level aptitude test in the month of May and this year it was conducted on 10th May 2019. The test is followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The candidates have to clear the overall and sectional cut offs to progress to these rounds.
The online IPM- Aptitude Test (AT) 2019 was a 2 hour test comprising 80 objective& 20 short answer type questions from the following three sections:
Quantitative Ability (SA)
Quantitative Ability (MCQ)
Verbal Ability(MCQ)
All these sections carried a total weightage of 400 marks, i.e. 4 marks for every correct answer and -1 mark for each incorrect answer in MCQ. However there was no negative marking in SA questions. This year, the sectional timingwas 40 minutes for each section.

Evaluation:This section contained 20 short answer type questions.The level of difficultyof this section was moderate. There was no negative marking. The time allotted for this section was 40 minutes.

Section II: Quantitative Ability (MCQ)
Evaluation: The level of difficulty of this section was moderate to difficult. This section was dominated by questions on geometry, probability, P & C.& algebra. There were 5 questions on determinant & matrices. This time questions based on number system were also there. There was a negative marking of 1 mark and the time allotted for this section was 40 minutes.

Section III: Verbal Ability (MCQ)
Evaluation:The level of difficulty of this section was easy to moderate. A total of 40 questions were to be attempted in 40 mins. The pattern of this section was almost similar to that of previous years. Overall, it was not a difficult section and all the 40 questions could have easily been attempted in the time frame of 40 minutes. An attempt of 32-36 questions is fairly good with 80 percent accuracy.

This year the expected good score will be in the range of 210-230. However as mentioned the students must clear the sectional cut-off.
All the candidates who clear the cut- offs become eligible to appear in the next round, i.e. Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The scores are not officially released by IIM Indore, but, they generate a list of short-listed candidates and also send emails to the selected candidates regarding WAT-PI dates.
