The AILET Application Form is the online form for the All India Law Entrance Test 2027, conducted by National Law University, Delhi. NLU Delhi does not accept CLAT. You apply only on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
The AILET registration period began on August 7, 2026. The exam is on December 13, 2026 (Sunday), 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The last date cited in public notices is November 10, 2026. Confirm the closing date and fee on the portal before you pay. NLU Delhi may extend the AILET 2027 application deadline based on student requests or external factors.

What are the AILET 2027 application dates?
The AILET Application Form was released on August 7, 2026, and the window will close on November 10, 2026. The AILET 2027 exam will be held on December 13, 2026. Admit card dates will be posted later on the same website. Do not assume “one week before” until NLU Delhi posts the notice.

Information Required for the AILET Application Form
Keep these information ready before you start:
- Working email ID and mobile number (login and admit card alerts go only here)
- Stable internet and a laptop or desktop (phone upload often fails preview)
- Name and date of birth exactly as on the Class 10 certificate
- Class 12 status (passed or appearing) and percentage/CGPA if asked
- Category / PwD / BPL / passport files if you claim that row
- Payment method the portal lists (debit card, credit card or net banking)
- Two spare identical passport photos for the admit card/counselling, as NLU Delhi asks you to keep them in reserve

What is the Eligibility Criteria for AILET 2027?
This is the BA LLB 5-year integrated course offered through AILET. The eligibility criteria are given below as per the 2027 AILET Guidelines. Candidates appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2026 are eligible to apply.

AILET 2027 has no maximum or minimum age limit.
Foreign Nationals / OCI / PIO: 65% in 10+2 or equivalent. They apply on the same portal. They do not have to take the AILET. Merit is based on qualifying-exam marks.
Candidates appearing in Class 12 may apply. They must meet eligibility by the cutoff notified with the result. A compartment in the admission year makes the candidate ineligible.
How do I fill out the AILET Application Form 2027?
After checking AILET eligibility, aspirants must enroll for AILET registration 2027. To fill in the application form, applicants have to visit the official NLU Delhi website and fill in the required details in the mandatory fields, such as their certified name, their working contact details, email address, and date of birth.
Upon filling in these details in the registration form, aspirants receive their login credentials through SMS and email. After that, they have to fill in the AILET application form 2027, and below are the steps you must follow:
- Visit nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
- Click on Register for AILET 2027
- Enter your name and email ID, and select the Applicant type. The type has two options: Indian or Foreigner; choose the one that applies.
- Then a pop-up may appear that you have successfully registered for AILET 2027. We will send your username and password to your Email ID shortly.
- You can use your username and password to log in to the AILET 2027 portal. Then you can update your password as you wish.
- You will be redirected to the login page and have to select the UG/PG application
- Open the correct course form (BA LLB / LLM / PhD).
- Upload a photograph and signature in the size of the form. Incomplete forms are rejected.
- Then fill out the form, enter your username and application ID, and update your personal details. Select any three cities in preferential order, and add contact details, family details, and academic qualifications
- You will receive your login details by SMS and email.
- Under Pending Applications, select the form and pay.
- Download the application confirmation. After successful payment, edits are usually closed.
Pay only through the options listed on the live form. If the 2027 form shows debit card, credit card and net banking only, do not use an old “post office cash” step.
What is the AILET Application Form fee?
The AILET application form is complete only after an aspirant pays the application fee. After the final payment, you cannot make any changes to the application form.

The candidate has to pay the required application fee through any of the DEBIT/REDIT CARD, UPI, Net Banking etc. An acknowledgement receipt will be generated in the login upon successful payment of the application fee.
Note: The AILET 2027 application fee once paid is completely non-refundable.
What happens after you submit the AILET Application Form?
After completing payment, download the submitted form and the fee receipt from your login and save them. Recheck the photo, signature, category and city in the correction window. Then shift focus to mock tests. You cannot treat the form as editable after successful payment, except in the official correction window.
Application correction: NLU Delhi opens a correction window for three days after November 10, 2026. Use only that window on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. You can change only the fields the portal unlocks. Do not wait for correction to fix a blank photo or a wrong course; those are often rejected before this window.
Admit card: The AILET 2027 admit card will be issued from November 30, 2026 under the same login. Check name, course, photograph, signature and exam city. Keep two identical spare photographs, as the university asks, in case you need them at the centre or at counselling.
Exam day: AILET 2027 will be held on December 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Carry the admit card and the ID, and the instructions list.
After the paper: Watch the official website for the answer key, result and counselling notice. Selected candidates will receive an email with a deadline to pay and upload documents. Missing that deadline cancels the offer.

How many BA LLB seats does AILET fill?
AILET scores are accepted only by NLU Delhi. The BA LLB intake in recent notices has been 120 seats, with most seats for Indian candidates and a separate foreign-national row. Use the 2027 seat matrix on the NLU Delhi site for category-wise numbers. Do not treat a raw score of 115–125 as an official cutoff.

Key reservation points
- 5% horizontal reservation is provided to PwD candidates across categories (6 seats in total). If a PwD seat remains vacant, it goes back to the same vertical category.
- 30% horizontal reservation is available for eligible women candidates, including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.
- Unfilled SC seats can be converted to ST and vice versa. After that, leftover reserved seats may be offered to General category candidates in order of merit.
- Unfilled Foreign National seats are carried over to the General category and filled on merit.
- Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD) must be valid and issued in the candidate’s own name. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued on or after 1 April 2026.
NLU Delhi notifies the counselling and seat allotment details after the AILET result. Selected candidates are informed by email and through the university website and must complete admission within the given time, failing which the offer is cancelled.
AILET Application Form FAQs
Q. Can I submit one AILET form and choose the exam city later?
A. No. Exam city preference is part of the application itself. Choose centres carefully. Once submitted, city change is possible only if the correction window allows it and seats are available.
Q. My Class 12 board result will come after AILET. Should I still apply now?
A. Yes, students whose Class 12 Board exam result is awaited can apply. Enter “appearing/appeared” in the requisite field. You will need to produce the final mark sheet during the counselling/admission process. Missing the form deadline while waiting for the board exam result is a common mistake.
Q. I have two surnames on different documents. Which name should I use on the AILET form?
A. Use the name exactly as printed on your Class 10 certificate. That is the name NLU Delhi matches at admit card and admission. If other documents differ, keep an affidavit ready for counselling.
Q. Will a blurred photo get my AILET application rejected?
A. It can be rejected by AILET. The university clearly asks for a recent colour photo with white background and face covering about 75% of the frame. A selfie, group photo, filtered image or dark background often creates problems at admit card stage.
Q. I paid the fee but did not get an application number. Is my form submitted?
A. The problem is not always the same for candidates. Please check your login for the application number and payment acknowledgement. If the payment is deducted but the form still shows "pending," do not fill a second form immediately. First check the payment status in the portal and with your bank.
Q. Can I use my father’s OBC/EWS certificate for the AILET form?
A. No, the certificate must be in the candidate’s own name. Parent/guardian/spouse certificates are not accepted. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued on or after April 1, 2026.
Q. I belong to OBC creamy layer. Should I still tick OBC on the form?
A. No. Only Non-Creamy Layer OBC candidates can claim the 22% reservation. If you select OBC category without a valid NCL certificate, your claim can be cancelled at the verification level, and you may lose the General seat timeline as well.
Q. If I fill the form under General category now, can I later switch to EWS or OBC?
A. Only during the official three-day correction window after 10 November 2026. After that window closes, category change is usually not allowed. Decide your category before the last date and keep the certificate ready.
Q. Does filling the AILET form guarantee a centre in my home city?
A. No, exam centres are allotted as per availability. Popular cities fill fast closer to the deadline. Apply early if you want a nearby city.
Q. I am a PwD candidate. Do I need to upload the disability certificate with the form?
A. Yes, if you are claiming PwD reservation or scribe facility. Upload a valid certificate as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Do not wait till counselling to arrange it.
Q. Will NLU Delhi refund the AILET application fee if I decide not to appear?
A. No. Once paid, the application fee is not refunded for change of mind, absence on exam day, or filling the wrong programme.
Q. Can two siblings use the same email ID or mobile number for AILET forms?
A. No, each candidate should use a unique mobile number and email ID. Admit card, result and counselling emails go to the registered contacts. Shared IDs cause missed messages.
Q. I submitted the form with the wrong programme (LLM instead of BA LLB). What now?
A. You can wait and use the correction window if programme change is enabled. If it is not, contact the AILET helpdesk immediately with your application number. Do not assume it will be changed automatically.
Q. I am applying for CLAT 2027. Do I need a separate AILET application form?
A. Yes, you need to fill the AILET 2027 application form since CLAT and AILET are completely separate exams. NLU Delhi does not accept CLAT score for BA LLB. You must fill the AILET form on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in even if you have already applied for CLAT.
