AILET 2027 Notification

The AILET registration period will begin on August 7, 2026, with the examination date set for December 13, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to the National Law University (NLU), Delhi must appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Through AILET 2027, NLU Delhi offers 120 seats in its BA LLB (Hons) program.

AILET 2027 is expected to be conducted across 37 to 39 cities. If the number of candidates in any city is less than 100, then a test centre shall not be created in that city, and candidates will be allotted a centre as per their 2nd/3rd city preference indicated in the application form. Since NLU-Delhi does not participate in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), it has been conducting AILET since its inception for 5 years B.A.LL.B (Hons). Through AILET 2027, NLU Delhi also conducts admissions to its one-year LL.M. programme (Ph.D. admissions follow a separate process).

Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates (5 seats each) are exempted from AILET but must secure minimum 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
