SLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Symbiosis International University conducts Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) annually for admission into one of the two to the five-year integrated law programmes (B.A. LL.B. or B.B.A. LL.B.). SLAT Eligibility Criteria
  • Required Academic Qualification: The candidate should have qualified 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks; The general and OBC category students should have 45% marks in 12th. For the SC/ST candidates of SLAT 2026, the minimum marks required are 40%.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for SLAT aspirants as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India.
  • The SLAT aspirants should have qualified 12th in their single attempt. Candidates with compartment or who have previously appeared in the compartment exam are NOT eligible to appear in SLAT 2026.
  • Candidates who have completed their 12th exam from distance learning or open school are NOT eligible to appear in the SLAT.
  • SLAT aspirants must keep their documents ready as they are required during admission and need to be produced during the counselling, which also determines their SLAT eligibility condition.

Steps for SLAT Registration
  • Step 1: Go to the official Symbiosis Website and click on the “Register Now” button.
  • Step 2: Read all the instructions carefully and click on the “Continue” button to accept terms and conditions.
  • Step 3: Follow the steps as guided by the website and fill in the details. Then click on “Save and Continue”.
  • Step 4: An One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the mobile number and email ID as entered by the candidate.
  • Step 5: Enter the OTP and click on “Submit”.
  • Step 6: The candidate has registered successfully. Further, they will get an email and SMS containing their SLAT ID and password. Use this SLAT ID for all communications regarding the SLAT 2026 entrance test / admission procedure.
  • Step 7: The candidate will next be expected to pay the SLAT entrance test registration fee amounting to INR 2250 per test which is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Step 8: In addition to the before entered amount, candidates are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1000/- (government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) for each programme that they wish to apply for.
