Quant is generally a time-consuming and tough section of NPAT. This year, the section featured maximum questions from algebra (functions, quadratic equations, progressions, etc.), followed by statistics and trigonometry. There were also a fair number of questions from various arithmetic topics like percentages, number system applications, profit & loss, time, speed and distance, etc.
An attempt of 25-28 questions with high accuracy is sure to fetch an excellent score in the section.
Reasoning & General Intelligence
This section is moderately difficult in nature, with questions drawn from Data Interpretation (graphs, tables, pie charts, etc.), arrangements, data sufficiency, Venn diagrams, Syllogism, Mathematical Operations, statement-assumption, visual reasoning, and similar topics. The highest weightage was given to DI sets with a total of 10-12 questions. While a few questions of reasoning were lengthy, most were quite doable.
An attempt of 31-34 questions with good accuracy suffices to ace the section.

Proficiency in English Language
English portion is regarded as the most scoring section of NPAT. Here, the majority of the questions are direct and straightforward. These are usually asked from RC passages, fill-in-the-blanks, error correction, parajumbles, etc. There were 2-3 short RC passages in the section accompanied by a total of 10-15 questions. Apart from that, there were 10-15 questions from fill-in-the-blanks that usually entail good grammatical knowledge and strong vocabulary.
An attempt of 32-35 questions with decent accuracy is bound to get a high score.
Note: Although the number of questions from different topics varies from one session to another, the overall difficulty level remains the same.
After the exam, the selected candidates are required to attend the counselling process held by associates institutes.
