Section-Wise Analysis
Section I: Verbal Ability
The verbal section in actual exam closely followed the sample papers provided by IIM Bangalore on its official website and HBE mocks. The actual paper featured two reading comprehension (RC) passages, each with four questions. One passage focused on "blindness being common in women due to household activities and regional diversity," while the other discussed "traditional and modern healthcare practices cantered around AI." One of the passages had slightly more complex language, but the questions for both were manageable.
The questions in the RCs covered a variety of topics, including factual recall, critical reasoning (strengthen/weaken), assumptions, main ideas, contextual vocabulary, and summarization. Vocabulary questions ranged from moderate to challenging, particularly those related to idioms.
In grammar, a new question type was introduced, where candidates were given a paragraph with several sentences, and were asked to identify adjective pairs that described the main character. There were also sentence completion questions with two or three blanks, which were generally easy to moderately difficult. Sentence rearrangement question was relatively simple, especially as it included options.
The overall feel of this section was easy.
