SLAT 2026 Syllabus

Symbiosis Law Entrance Test (SLAT) is conducted by Symbiosis International University for admissions into its Undergraduate Law Programmes. The examination is conducted in a Computer Based Mode for admissions to Symbiosis Law School branches located in Pune, Nagpur, Noida and Hyderabad. Going by the official information by the University, the paper is expected to consist of 60 questions split into 5 distinct sections that need to be completed within 60 minutes.

In order to devise a preparation strategy, it is important to know the SLAT syllabus thoroughly. Symbiosis International University does not release any official syllabus for SLAT, however, based on an in-depth analysis of the previous year's papers, Hitbullseye has come up with a list of important topics for each section. It is extremely important that students focus on understanding each topic in depth. Time management and accuracy matter if students aim to get a decent score in SLAT 2026.

Interestingly, the SLAT exam pattern and conditions allow two attempts. However, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and no normalization will be allowed.

In the SLAT examination, each right answer is awarded with one mark and there is no negative marking. All the SLAT sections have an equal weightage of 12 divided thoroughly in 5 sections, namely, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge.
