Every year Indraprastha University formally known as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi conducts IPU CET Law for its undergraduate programs- B.A. LL.B/ BBA LL.B. It is one of the major Law entrance examinations besides CLAT, AILET and SET- Law. This year the exam was held on April 17, 2016 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Evaluation: The level of difficulty of this section was moderate to difficult. The maximum number of questions was from static legal G.K. and constitution. However, in comparison to other law entrances, principle fact questions were less in this exam. An attempt of 28-30 questions was considered a good attempt in this section.

Evaluation: The 38 questions of logical reasoning were easy. Though it covered almost all the areas of reasoning, maximum number of questions was from Analogy. There were questions from cubes, change of symbols, coding- decoding, verbal logic section. The students were required to form meaningful words from a given set. However, no question was witnessed from syllogisms, deductive arguments, or strong/ weak arguments. An attempt of 32-34 would be a good attempt in this section.

Evaluation: The candidates found the section easy to attempt. The questions were primarily basic in nature in case of reading comprehensions. Other areas covered are: Idioms and Phrases, Spotting the Error, Jumbled Sentences with 5- 6 questions in common. Some of the test takers witnessed the questions to have very similar and close options. Overall, this section was very easy and an attempt of 34-36 questions would be pretty good.

Evaluation: This year, GK was dominated by static GK questions and very few questions were seen from current GK. The Indian Polity section was completely ignored which came out to be a surprise for the test takers due to its relevance to the subject. Another surprising element was the questions based on computer and IT. The overall level of difficulty of the paper was moderate to difficult. An attempt of 24-26 questions was considered fair in this section.
