All about BLAT-2020

For the admission to the BA-LLB (Hons) (5-year programme) the Banaras Hindu University conducts Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) or otherwise commonly known as BLAT, during 3rd or 4th week of May every year. This year BHU is conducting the entrance exam in the 3rd week of May, 2020. The BLAT will be conducted in the pen and paper mode and as computer based test (CBT) as well. The BLAT online application form is released during the 2nd week of February for which the BLAT aspirants have to fill the forms before the closing dates. The BLAT 2020 candidates opting for the pen and paper mode will be taking the exam in 45 cities and those opting for the CBT can take the BHU 5-year law entrance test BLAT in 115 centres in India.

BLAT 2020 Eligibility for BA-LLB 2020
  • Applicants who have successfully completed/are appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course are eligible for the BHU BA-LLB entrance examination.
  • As per the directive of the Bar Council of India, the candidates who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post Graduation through open Universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in BHU BA-LLB course.
  • Minimum marks in qualifying examination for admission not below 50% of total marks in case of General category applicants, 45% in case of OBCs and 40% in case of SC’s and ST’s applicant.
  • The age of the applicant should not more than 20 years on 1st July 2020 (applicant should be born on or after 1st July 1999) for General Category applicants and 22 years on 1st July 2020 in case of applicants from SC/ST and Backward Communities (applicant should be born on or after 1st July 1997)
BLAT Application Form
The BHU BLAT 2020 application form will be made available for the BLAT aspirants from the 2nd week of February. The candidates need to fill in the details such as their bio-data, email address, phone numbers etc. for filling the BLAT registration, and specify the choice of their exam centres, and exam mode while filling the BLAT application form 2020.

BLAT 2020 Admit Cards
The BLAT candidates who apply for entrance successfully gets the BLAT 2020 admit cards from the 1st week of May 2020. The admit cards are sent to the email accounts of the candidates which they used during the registration. BLAT 2020 Exam Centers

BLAT 2020 Results for BA-LLB
The BLAT 2020 results will be declared in the 3rd week June which contains certain details such as marks, the sectional scores, and the overall marks that are scored by the BLAT aspirants. After the declaration of the results students who have high scores make it to the final merit list and are called for the admission to the BHU’s BA-LLB(hons) 5-year programme.
BLAT 2020 Merit List     
The merit list for the BLAT 2020 will encompass the names of the students who have made it after clearing all the process for getting selected in the BHU BA-LLB course. The students who have a good rank at the BLAT 2020 have a higher possibility of getting selected for the course than those ranked at the lower division.
BLAT 2020 Counselling for BA-LLB
When the BLAT final results and the merit list are prepared the students are called for the BLAT counselling for BA-LLB admission and they receive the counseling call letters from the university. BHU BA-LLB Admission Process 2020
BHU-BA LLB 2020 result is expected to be declared by the 3rd week of June.The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the result. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list.
  • The BHU BA-LLB candidate will be informed his/her marks, the order in the overall merit and other relevant information via mail and SMS. BHU releases the official answer key for a candidate’s ready reference.
  • BHU does not provide for the re-evaluation of the result or the investigation of answer sheets under any condition. No query regarding the same shall be entertained.
  • Admissions to the BHU BA-LLB after qualifying BLAT 2020 will be based solely on merit in the entrance exam.
