What is the CLAT 2027 Exam Pattern?
Earlier, CLAT had 200 questions with a time limit of 120 minutes. Over the years, the questions were reduced to 150, followed by 120 in 2024. Since then, the conducting agency has kept the total number of questions at 120. Though the number of questions were reduced over a span of four years, the time limit stood unchanged at 120 minutes. As for the marking scheme, each correct answer is rewarded with +1, and each incorrect answer holds a penalty of -0.25. Therefore, the total marks for the CLAT 2027 UG Entrance Exam are 120.
The conducting mode was initially shifted to online mode, meaning a Computer Based Test (CBT), to test the conventional methods; however, it was later shifted back to the traditional pen-and- paper mode, with the aim of making time management even more critical.
Therefore, it is crucial for the aspirants to solve previous year papers to get accustomed to the CLAT exam pattern, to get a fair idea of the difficulty level of the questions, and to get an idea of the areas from which the maximum number of questions can be asked.
