National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) conducts a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) every year for admissions to top hotel management institutions. NCHM JEE is an important exam for candidates who wish to fulfil their dream of pursuing a career in the hotel and tourism industry from the top IHMs of the country. The National Testing Agency conducts NCHM JEE as a computer-based test every year on behalf of NCHMCT. Based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, admission into one of the 74 participating colleges is granted post counselling.
For admission to the most prestigious hotel management institutes of India, aspirants have to qualify NCHM JEE entrance test. To appear in NCHM JEE, the aspirants need to meet certain eligibility conditions that have been laid by the NCHMCT (National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the exam conducting body of NCHM JEE. NCHM JEE 2021 exam date will soon be announced by the exam conducting body. Due to pandemic situation, there might be a delay in conducting the exam.
However, the registrations are open until 20 June 2021. So, aspiring candidates can fill in their forms based on the eligibility criteria provided by the authority. Apart from meeting the educational criteria the NCHM JEE aspirants have to meet certain physical conditions as well, which include Age criteria and Reservations.
The aspirants planning to appear in NCHM JEE 2021 must adhere to the eligibility requirements to be eligible for the entrance exam.
NCHMJEE 2021: Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates should have passed 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board of secondary education with English as their core subject.
2. The candidates who are to take the entrance exam in 2021 have to show and submit the 12th passing certificate for the final admission at the time of the counselling.
3. The candidates who are appearing in the 12th exam and have their results awaited can also appear for NCHM JEE.
4. Candidates with a supplementary in their 12th are not eligible to appear for the exam.
5. The candidates should ensure that the documents during the admission and the information that they have provided while filling the form is valid and certificates are verified.
NCHM JEE Age Limit
For candidates from General, General (EWS) and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 25 years as of 01.07.2021. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1996 are eligible.
In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates and Physically challenged candidates, the upper age limit is 28 years as of 01.07.2021. That is SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates born on or after July 01, 1993, are eligible.
Date of birth as recorded in the Higher Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate will be considered and taken as authentic and as valid proof, which will be accepted for the test.
Physical fitness criteria for applying for the NCHM JEE 2021 Exam
All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate of carrying out practical claims as required in course at the time of admission from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.
A candidate must know all about the eligibility criteria in order to appear for NCHM JEE 2021. If the candidate is not eligible for the entrance test then they would not be allowed to attempt it. Student must majorly follow three major conditions for NCHM JEE 2021 eligibility: age, qualification and physical fitness.
