MIT-WPU School of Liberal Arts – Admission Process
The selection process at MIT-WPU School of Liberal Arts for BBA (Liberal Arts) Leadership and MA English/ Political Sciences/ Psychology (Emphasis on Liberal Studies) is based on 3 Stages –
Stage 1 – Psychometric Assessment
The assessment is conducted to evaluate students' attitude and their inclination towards the subject of their interest.
Stage 2 – Statement of Purpose (SOP) (50 marks)
To evaluate candidates communication skills, documentation skills and rationale of the candidate.
Post successful completion of Stage 1 and 2,
Stage 3 – Group Discussion (50 marks)
To explore and evaluate candidate's critical thinking skills, analytical skills and knowledge of the subjects and domain.
Selection Criteria for BA Liberal Arts/ BA (Hons) English/Psychology/Political Science
  • On Merit Basis of 10+2 / 12th / HSC or Equivalent Exam Aggregate Marks.
MIT-WPU School of Liberal Arts – Eligibility Criteria
Maharashtra State (MS) Candidature
  • The candidate should be an Indian Nationality
  • Passed 10+2 / 12th / HSC Examination with English subject (OR) iii. Three Years Diploma Recognised by Government Competent Authority (OR) Passed its equivalent examination with 50% Marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
Other than Maharashtra (OMS) Candidature
  • The candidate should be an Indian Nationality.
  • Passed 10+2 / 12th / HSC Examination with English subject (OR)
  • Three Years Engineering Diploma Recognised by Government Competent Authority (OR) Passed its equivalent examination with 50% Marks in aggregate.
Foreign Nationals / NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries:
Passed 10+2 / 12th / HSC Examination with English subject (OR) its equivalent examination in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate
* Direct admission will be provided to students applying under the International Category subject to eligibility criteria.
Why choose BBA (Liberal Studies) Leadership?
The programme offers a unique opportunity to students to earn their BBA degree with two specialisations, in Leadership Development and the other in an elective of their choice. This Elective can be chosen from three distinct domains, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences or Performing Arts.
Out of the two Specialisations offered, Specialisation I comprises ten compulsory courses on Leadership Development (service- solution based learning) such as Leadership and Ethics, Leading Teams Government and Governance Business, Government & Global Economy, Decision Making and others. Specialisation II offers a diverse range of options, out of which anyone can be chosen. The course of interest can be selected from among options comprising Humanities, Strategic Management, Public Policy, Entrepreneurship, Economics, etc.
The student will study a combination of courses from General electives, Skill Enhancement Course, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses and Cluster Electives and various interdisciplinary fields of study as per choice-based credit system. Experiential learning is the soul of this program and involves Rural Immersion Program, National Study Tour, International Immersion Program, Field Studies, Industry Visits and Internships.
