LSAT Exam Pattern

LSAT exam pattern is important for the candidates who want to appear for the LSAT conducted by LSAC for knowing and enhancing their knowledge regarding how to go about preparing for the LSAT exam. From 2019 onwards the LSAT paper time duration has been set as 2 hours and 20 minutes and since there are 4 sections in the exam, 35 minutes are allotted for the each section. There is no negative marking in the LSAT entrance and the aspirants therefore have an advantage of guessing the answers. When the LSAT candidates are aware about the LSAT pattern, they improve their chances of qualifying the exam.
The prime benefit of knowing the LSAT paper pattern is that an LSAT aspirant will be fearless even when the exam is near. One notable fact about the LSAT is that there may be different courses for law; 5-year-integrated law (BA LLB), LLB, and LLM the LSAT exam pattern will remain the same, though there may be the difference in the difficulty level of the questions as per the courses.

One notable fact about the LSAT exam is that the candidates are not tested on the legal knowledge bases. Neither they are tested on the bases of mathematical knowledge or asked questions on current affairs. LSAT aspirants have to attempt questions on the bases of their critical thinking which are divided into three sections, logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
LSAT exam pattern in detail
Mode of examination:- The exam is conducted in the online mode, which means that the LSAT aspirants have to be present at the exam center at the time of the LSAT exam.
LSAT medium of language:- Pearson VUE keeps English as the medium of the exam for conducting LSAT.
Exam duration:- The exam is of 2 hours and 20 minutes with 100 questions to be solved.
Marking scheme:- One marks is awarded for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Number of sections in LSAT:- There are four sections in the LSAT exams with 35 minutes allocated to each. These sections are; one section of analytical reasoning, two sections of logical reasoning, and one section of reading comprehension.

There are no breaks for the LSAT candidates appearing in the LSAT. The invigilators will keep record of the time allocated to each section. The LSAT candidates will not be allowed to go back to any section or take any other section if they finish attempting any section before its stipulated time.
