NMIMS UG Registration Process 2023-24

NMIMS holds entrance exams for admission to BBA, B.Com, B.Sc., B.A., B.Techand other UG programs offered across its campuses. You will find detailed information about the registration process of NMIMS’s NPAT, CET, and LAT.
These entrance exams are administered at numerous test locations in computer-based mode.

Initial Registration

  • Based on eligibility criteria select Test category (NMIMS-NPAT / NMIMS-CET / NMIMS-LAT)/ School / Program and campus preferences.
  • Candidate can select multiple test category / multiple schools and multiple program preferences.
  • Candidate can select multiple attempts for each of the category.
  • The registration fees is based on the number of Schools selected for each test category and the total retakes.
  • Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam.
  • Candidate can choose 1 main and 2 retakes for each of the examination category.  In all, a candidate will be given chance to appear total 3 times of whichever exam he/she wishes to appear.
  • Candidate should not register multiple times for the same exam category else it will lead to blocking the candidate from admission.
  • After the successful registration and payment, the candidate will get options to schedule the exams by choosing the test date/s and test center.
  • Test dates / Test center availability will be subject to Test center capacity.
  • It will be available to the candidate modestly on first come first serve.
  • Candidate has to schedule his / her examination. 
Things to Note:
  • Candidate can attempt maximum 2 RETAKES in any selected category i.e. (1st main test plus 2 retakes).  The highest marks among the total attempts will be considered for respective school merit process.
  • Once the main exam delivery is done, candidate cannot add new school in the same category for retake, but he / she can add new category of test.
  • No Rescheduling or cancellation is allowed
E mail confirmation:
  • Post scheduling of the examination, the confirmation mail from (pearsonvueconfirmations@pearson.com) will be sent to candidate’s registered email ID.   The same email / admit card needs to be presented at the test center at the time of test. Candidate will received separate email for each exam scheduled.
Admit Card:
  • Post scheduling of the examination the admit card is generated. The admit card shows the chosen date of examination, City and Test center.
  • This is available on the dashboard of the Candidate. Kindly download the admit card by logging to your dashboard. 
Test Centers:
  • Candidate needs to show the Admit card (soft /hard copy) to the Test center staff
  • The verification staff at the test center will compare the photograph on the admit card with the person appearing for the examination. Therefore, candidate is requested to upload their recent photograph to avoid any confusion at the test center.
  • Candidate also needs to carry any one original ID proof along with its photocopy to the test center.
List of documents that candidate can carry to the test center:
  • Voters ID / Passport / Aadhaar Card / Driving License (Learner license will not be accepted) / 12th Admit Card with photo/ PAN Card.
  • The name on the original Government ID must exactly match with the name mentioned on the appointment confirmation email.
  • Candidate will be allowed to attend computer-based test only on the scheduled date/ time.
  • Candidates should reach the test center at least 30 minutes before the time of exam.
Provision for Physically Challenged Candidates
  • The candidate must upload their Disability Certificate at the time of online registration. 
  • This will be reviewed and approved by the NMIMS authority.
  • Post the approval, the candidate will get email on registered email ID. Further he / she can make the payment and schedule the examination.  
  • Appropriate assistance will be made available at the test center.

Things to Note
  • Cancellation of registration is not allowed at any point of process.
  • Registration Fees is NON-REFUNDABLE/ NON-TRANSFERABLE. 
  • Request to change the exam category or add Schools in the same category after the exam will not be entertained.
  • Candidate can register only once for each category. Duplicate registration from same candidate will be rejected even if exam is taken.
  • Candidate can register / pay for only 1 attempt from 15th May to 21st May’2023 in each category.
  • Candidate will have to report for exam on the scheduled date and time only. Rescheduling or cancellation of exam / registration is not allowed.

Important Instructions for UG Admissions
  • For cancellation/ withdrawal of admission: Withdrawal /cancellation means voluntary withdrawal/cancellation by candidate for any reason. Candidate should visit https://upload.nmims.edu/admission/cancellation/ 
  • Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidature. 
  • If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled and fees will be refunded as per refund rule clauses.  
  • It is the sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.
  • We need minimum 10 candidates to start a program. 
  • All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only. 
  • The candidate must have appeared for all his subject(s) / exams before the commencement of the respective program (s) of NMIMS (Deemed to be University). The examination of none of the subjects should be held after the commencement of the respective course.
  • Candidates whose final mark sheet of the qualified examination is not available at the time of their provisional admission, is required to submit their final marksheet copy as soon as the result declared. In such case, if the candidate fail to meet the required eligibility criteria then his admission will be cancelled and the fees will be refunded as per NMIMS refund rules (even after course commencement).
  • Admission to program is considered as “Provisional Admission” till all required and mandatory documents is submitted by the candidate and the same is verified and approved. If it is found that the candidate is not eligible at any stage (even after the course commencement), admission will be cancelled and fees will be refunded as per refund rule clauses even if selected/ admitted to the program.
Refund Rules for UG Admissions
  If a student chooses to withdraw from the program of study in which he / she  is enrolled, the institution concerned shall follow the following five-tier system for the refund of fees remitted by the student.

In case of (1) in the table above, the deduction will be 5% of the fees paid as processing charges from the refundable amount, subject to a maximum of  Rs 5,000/-.  
Note:  The above refund rules are subject to revision as applicable.
