We have come up with some suggestions and tips for a concrete preparation strategy to help you score well in this section of AILET:
Reasoning questions from areas like coding, directions, blood relations, syllogisms, etc. can be easily solved if you know the basics of these topics and identify the correct pattern. You can easily solve 30-32 questions from this section, once you are thorough with a clear understanding of concepts. Let us see a couple of questions from actual AILET exam:
The common codes are "6 & 1" and the common words are "are & you". This implies that one of those stands for 'are' and the other one stands for 'you'. The left code in the second sentence is '9' and the word left is 'good'. So that concludes the code for the word 'good' is '9'.
In this kind of question always compare the common words and common codes. Then one by one the codes are found for all the common words or letters and then the remaining codes are assigned to the remaining words/letters. This is always done logically to get the correct answer.
Whenever Vijay reads late into the night, his grand-father reprimands him.
Based on this, if you analyze the options, you will see that the second option will be the answer. As the cause is there, then the effect would definitely be there.
These kinds of questions are based on connectives. There are two-three types of connectives statements possible.
AILET is essentially a speed based test. Hence, the real challenge lies in solving questions in a time efficient manner. Knowledge of fundamentals or basics alone is not enough unless sufficient practice of all question types is done. Solving previous years' papers and taking mock tests also help to a great extent.
