MH-CET Law 2021 Exam Analysis

MH-CET Law is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education for admissions to law programmes in the top law colleges in Maharashtra. Due to COVID, a few changes were made and the exam was delayed. However, in 2021, we are expecting the exam conducting authority to roll back to the same exam pattern.
The exam date for MH-CET Law 2021 will soon be announced by the authority. The exam will consist of 150 questions in the MCQ format, which is to be completed within 2 hours. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based format at different centres in Maharashtra and other states.

MH-CET Law 2021 Exam Analysis
The MH-CET Law exam consists of 150 questions divided into 5 sections that test the ability of the students. The overall difficulty level of the exam is between moderate to difficult. However, candidates must be thorough with the concepts and read the analysis for further help.

Legal Aptitude and Reasoning
This section is of higher difficulty level as compared to other sections but was manageable by the students. Aspirants who have been practicing the reasoning and principle-based questions will have an edge over others in the examination. Except constitution, the exam contained questions from contracts, crime, torts, and topics in the legal aptitude. The section is expected to be difficult based on previous year’s exam, so it is advised that you must thoroughly study all concepts.
General Knowledge with Current Affair
The section is tricky but manageable. The level of difficulty is between easy to moderate as most of the questions asked are from current affairs. Questions from Static GK are relatively less than Current Affairs, but one must study both to balance their scores in this section. Students can expect a few questions based on the state, so candidates who are not from Maharashtra must learn a few facts about the state.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning
The section in MH-CET Law 2020 exam was dominated by the questions from puzzles and arrangements. The section was a mix of moderate and difficult level of difficulty questions, which can be easily attempted, if the candidate has practice the questions well. Other than puzzles and arrangements, there were questions from statement-assumptions, coding-decoding, and a few questions from Data Sufficiency.
English
As compared to other sections, the section is quite easy to attempt. The exam had a reading comprehension with 10 questions. The questions asked were based upon synonyms and antonyms, cloze test, spotting the error, Para jumbles and fill in the blanks. Candidate must be thorough with all the concepts as it will help them ace the section.
Basic Mathematics
The section is of moderate level of difficulty, as the questions asked are based on basic mathematics that you studied in school. The topics that are covered in this section are based on SI, CI, Profit and Loss, Speed and Distance etc. With more practice you can ace this section, so be thorough with the formulas.
