SNDT Women’s University is the first university in India as well in South-East Asia to promote Women’s Education. Founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916, the university was setup for a noble cause of Women’s Education.  SNDT Women’s University is committed to empowering women through the access of higher education, through relevant courses in the diverse fields of study. Admission Criteria
To take admissions in law programmes at SNDTWU, candidates must qualify CET. Eligible candidates can take admission based on original certificates.
Eligibility Criteria
  • As per CET, rules prescribed by the UGC, Bar Council of India and University shall apply.
  • Candidate must pass HSC/10+2 with minimum 45% marks as prescribed by BCI. SC/ST. Candidates should qualify the State Common Entrance Test, which is conducted by Government of Maharashtra.
  • SC/ST candidates are required 40% marks to get admission.
  • Any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the SNDT Women's University, Mumbai or any other recognized university with the minimum prescribed marks of 45% as laid down by Bar Council of India and the candidate should qualify the State Common Entrance Test conducted by Government of Maharashtra is eligible for admission to the first year of course.
  • The above requirement as to percentage of marks shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to schedule castes & Schedule Tribes.
