The law college was established by Kandivli Education Society in 2012 with the approval of University of Mumbai. The college was later renamed to KES’ Shri. Jayantilal H. Patel Law College from KES Law College. The institute endeavours to achieve the status of centre of excellence. The institute also has the state-of-the-art infrastructure with ICT enabled classrooms, highly-qualified and accessible staff. The institute follows a Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

To be eligible for admissions, candidates must pass 10+2 or equivalent examinations from recognized board. Also, candidates must qualify CET.
