JSS Law College is an autonomous educational institution established the under the guidance of JSS Mahavidyapeeth. Since its inception, the college has endeavored to look for innovative and unique teaching-learning techniques to impart professional and quality legal education. The college is recognized as one of the best law colleges in the state by attracting numerous students from across the globe. However, the college is the first law college in the country to develop into an autonomous institution with recognition from the Bar Council of India.

Being an autonomous institution, the reserves the right to determine curriculum, evaluate performances of the students, and impart teaching to maintain standards of higher education. However, to maintain standards of higher education, the college has appointed efficient and experienced staff to provide professional and value-based legal education. Also, the adoption of unique teaching-learning techniques, the college provides a unique atmosphere of interaction, mutual respect and participation.

Being an autonomous institution, the university reserves the right for admission through merit. For foreign nationals, applicants must fulfill the eligibility requirements.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% of total marks (in case of SC/ST candidates 40%). The admission committee, however, determines the eligibility of the candidates and the college reserves the right for admissions.
