MH-CET LAW 2026 Notification - Important Dates and Related Information

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law exam, commonly known as MH-CET Law, is a state level entrance exam that opens the door for admission into 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated law courses. Many good colleges across Maharashtra accept this score. The exam runs for 2 hours and has 120 questions in total. It is divided into 5 main sections, and you get one mark for every correct answer. The best part – there is no negative marking at all.
MH-CET Law 2026: Important Updates
  • Now the official dates for 2026 cycle are already out.
  • Please note that the exam pattern changed a couple of years back. Earlier, the paper had 150 questions, but now it is reduced to only 120. The time is still the same – 120 minutes.
  • The whole exam is conducted online (Computer Based Test) and you can choose between English and Marathi language.
  • For 2026, the official notification came out on 21st November 2025 and the application process started in January 2026 (it is still open as of mid-January).
The exam is held in around 18 cities in Maharashtra, and more than 150 law colleges accept these scores for different law programmes. MH-CET Law is completely a Computer Based Test..
