With over 5,500 full-time students and a dedicated team of 500+ faculty members, JGLS has emerged as India’s largest single-campus residential law school. The reputation of JGLS is built on various factors, including its rigorous academic programs, distinguished faculty, global exposure, and a strong focus on research and practical training.
Introducing LNAT-UK for Undergraduate Admissions
From 2025-26 onward, all undergraduate law applicants must appear for the LNAT-UK, an internationally recognized test widely used by leading law schools globally. Designed to evaluate critical thinking and reasoning abilities, the LNAT-UK assesses aptitude for legal studies rather than knowledge of specific legal subjects.
Admissions will follow a rolling process, with early admissions based on LNAT-UK scores closing on 31st January 2025. Up to 75% of the intake will be finalized during this phase.
Key Highlights
Test Format: The LNAT-UK includes a multiple-choice section and an essay component, evaluating critical thinking, comprehension, and analytical skills. More details are available on the official LNAT website. JGLS doesn’t consider essays for admission in the 5-Year Integrated Law Programme.
Global Reach: The computer-based LNAT-UK test can be taken at 500+ centers worldwide, providing convenience to students to choose their preferred test date and location.
Admission Cycles: By two distinct admission cycles, applicants of JGLS have the option to take the Test on the date and place of their choosing.
- Early Admissions: Applications close on 31st January 2025, with up to 75% of seats allocated.
- Regular Admissions: The second phase will run from 1st February to 31st May 2025. Admission cutoffs may vary across cycles, and offers will be made on a rolling basis, on a first come first served basis.
“Currently, applicants can attempt the LNAT-UK only once during either admission cycle.”
Scholarships: LNAT-UK scores will be considered for merit cum means-based scholarships. Scholarships are awarded in the range of 10%, 25%, 50%, and 75% of Tuition Fees as per merit and annual parental income criteria.
Why LNAT-UK?
Global Relevance: Accepted by top-tier law schools worldwide, LNAT-UK aligns JGLS with international standards.
Skills-Based Assessment: The test evaluates verbal reasoning and analytical skills rather than rote memorization.
Convenience: Students can schedule their tests globally, enhancing accessibility for international applicants.
Diversity & Inclusion: LNAT-UK paves the way for increased enrolment of international students.
