CLAT 2024: Introduction
CLAT 2024: The Consortium of National Law Universities will likely conduct CLAT 2024 in offline mode in
December of 2023. CLAT 2024 syllabus, which covers subjects like general knowledge, current affairs, legal

Importance of CLAT?
For providing admission to the 5-year integrated LLB and 1-year LLM programmes offered by member NLUs, the
Consortium of NLUs conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national-level exam. Additionally, PSUs and
self-funded law schools also use CLAT scores in their recruitment processes.
Around 3000 undergraduate seats and about 1000 seats for the LLM programme are available at the NLUs. All 22
participating NLUs currently provide the five-year LLB degree, but only 19 of the participating NLUs provide the
LLM programme.

CLAT Cut-Off 2024
CLAT cutoff for a participating NLUs is the minimum score (or rank) that an applicant must achieve
within a given category. Any candidate who achieves a score or rank equivalent to the CLAT 2024 cutoff,
as determined by the exam administration for a given round, shall be eligible for a seat. Those who are
not selected may be considered in future rounds. However, if an applicant fails to make the CLAT cutoff
for the last round of seat allocation, it is doubtful that he or she will be admitted.
