What is SLAT?

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is one of the branded and internationally recognized institutes in the education sector. There are 4 Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) in total in the nation and these are in the four major cities: SLS Pune, SLS Hyderabad, SLS Noida and SLS Nagpur. SLS Pune is 5th NIRF Ranked 2024 law college in India. The competition to get into the SLS is unimaginably high and a long queue of law aspirants want to get into the internationally acclaimed SLS. However, clearing the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is the only way to obtain a seat in India's most prestigious private law colleges.

SLAT Registration Process

SLAT 2025 will be conducted on two different dates. Candidates can appear on December 13, 2024, and December 15, 2024.

If a candidate appears for multiple tests, the higher score will be considered the best of 2 attempts. There will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. The average spread will ensure no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any particular test / multiple tests. This will ensure the normalization of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalized for the difficulty level across all two tests.

Part 1 of the SLAT application form describes the SLAT application procedure, and part 2 applies to law courses at SLS Pune, Hyderabad, Noida and Nagpur.

An overview of the registration process is as follows:

Click on 'Register'.
Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Fill in the details requested on the page displayed.
Click on 'Save & Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email ID that you have entered.
Enter the 'OTP' and submit.
After successful registration, you will get an e-mail & SMS containing your SLAT ID and password. Use this SLAT ID for all communications regarding the SLAT 2025 entrance test/admission procedure.
Pay the SLAT entrance test registration fee of INR 2250 per test [government taxes would be additional as and when applicable] non-transferable and non-refundable as per the instructions mentioned on the Registration Portal.
If you have any queries, please log in to your SLAT ID and click on "Raise A Query" and generate a ticket. Generating a ticket is essential to resolve your query.
The modes of payment for the program (s) registration fee is the same as that for SLAT.
The candidate must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the admission process.
A candidate must fill in the correct information in the online registration form corresponding to her/his credentials.
Register online at www.slat-test.org (up to November 22, 2024).

Note: No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances.

A candidate can appear for SLAT on both the dates of December 13, 2024 and December 15, 2024. If a candidate appears for multiple tests, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation.

Please also note that if any information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the University shall have the right to cancel that candidate's candidature.

The steps to complete the application process are as follows:

Step 1: Register for the SLAT exam

Click the "Direct Link to SLAT 2025 Application Form", https://www.set-test.org/set-law.html, or click the "Apply now" button through the official website, www.set-test.org
Click on 'new registration’.
Enter the details required under:

Registration information - Name, Gender, Category & Date of Birth
Address for communication - Mobile number, primary email ID
Class XII details - Select the stream of education from Science, Commerce, Arts, or others
Select the program - SLAT.
Preferred test city - Select any three cities as the preferred location to appear for SLAT 2025

Step 2: Fill SLAT 2025 Application Form & Upload A Scanned Photo

In the next step, fill in your personal, professional, educational and contact details in your SLAT application form.

You must upload your latest scanned photograph, which must be between 10 KB and 500 KB.

Step 3: SLAT 2025 Application Fee

There are two types of SLAT fees to be paid:

You can send a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1000/- per program to the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat", payable in Pune from any nationalised bank.
Select the "Make Payment" tab "DD Payment" as the payment method. Print the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign it, and send it to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat [STS] only at the following:

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will verify the Demand Draft information and email you after confirming the payment.
You can view your Admit Card only after payment has been received.

Common Errors While Filling SLAT Application Form 2025

Listed below are the most typical errors while filling out the SLAT application form:

If you took the HSC this year and are awaiting results, select "Appeared" from the "marks" option.
Any changes in the online application form (except test city preferences and admission category) will be accepted only until the closing date of SLAT registration 2025.
No changes shall be permitted after the closing date under any circumstances.
Once you have completed the online SLAT 2025 payment, you will not be able to request a change of test city or category.

Please note that the SLAT 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The duration of the test is 60 minutes.

SLAT: Selection Procedure

Shortlisting for Personal Interaction (PI):

Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) based on their Entrance Test scores. Refer to the institute's website for details and PI schedules.

It is mandatory to attend all components/tests of PI to be eligible for admission to any Five-Year Law programs of SLS. Only candidates who attend all components/tests of the admission process (PI) shall be considered eligible for the merit / wait/reject list generation. Candidates who remain absent for any components/tests will be deemed ineligible for admission.
