Satish Chander Dhawan or SCD Government College stands on the list of top BBA colleges in Ludhiana. It was established in the year 1920 and is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. It is also recognized by UGC and has been accredited A grade by the NAAC. The college is named after a renowned scientist who was a bright product of this college. Avatar Singh Cheema and many more office bearers, sportspersons, defence officers and writers.

It has a superbly maintained college library, smart classrooms, seminar halls, computer labs, auditorium, cafeteria, and open-air theatre. Separate hostel facility is also available for boys and girls. The academic institution has some really biggest contributions in the academic sphere of the city and in addition, excels at sports and NCC levels as well. It offers various courses in science, humanities, and management. BBA course is available only for boys. For the working candidates, evening classes are also made available.
