The Global Institute of Information and Technology or GIIT, Greater Noida is established by the Global Education Trust, in the year 2002. The programs offered by the instituteare designed to help students compete at the global level. The students grow holistically as the institute uses innovative teaching methods and trains them in various soft skills. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, namely MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Ed, and B.Com. The programs are affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and CCS University in Meerut. The department of management of GIIT aims to develop skills which contribute to the success of an individual in the management area. All students are exposed to rigorous soft skills which surely improve their employability and help them in meeting the industry requirements. The campus has state-of-art infrastructure with aesthetically designed lecture halls, equipped with the technically advanced equipment. The furniture is also excellently designed. The library has a separate sitting room and a collection of sources of information. They provide both physical and digital access to the material. Additionally, there is availability of newspapers, magazines, print journals, etc. There are various labs, each serving a different purpose. These include communication lab, computer software lab, digital lab, microprocessor lab, etc. Cafeteria and Hostel facility are also available for the campus students.

The faculty adopts not just the traditional lecture method but also holds frequent group sessions, class discussions, debates, quizzes and other activity based learning experiences. They use advanced technical teaching methods. This separates the professors of this institute from that of others.

The student has to pass the 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks from a recognized board.
