Admission Process at Ashoka University:-
Ashoka University endeavours to enroll students with a holistic approach.
  • In the first step of selection process to Ashoka University’s undergraduate programme, students have to submit academic scores of class 10th and 12th. The test scores of SAT/ACT are taken into consideration along with a personal essay, letter of recommendation and record of other extra- curricular activities.
  • The second step in the admission process comprises Ashoka Aptitude Test followed by an essay and finally the personal interview round.
  • Finally, the selected students for the undergraduate programmes are sent a confirmation offer letter or a conditional offer letter.
Ashoka University -  Ashoka Aptitude Test (AAT)
In Ashoka Aptitude Test, students have to attempt 40 questions (multiple- choice). The given questions in the AAT check a student’s analytical skills, computation skills and reasoning skills. Questions cover areas related to numerical and spatial reasoning, and some questions could be based on critical reasoning area. Out of 40 questions, 20 are problem-solving questions, and 20 are critical thinking questions. Time Management is very crucial in the entrance examination. Students should be proficient in understanding the difficulty level of the questions and attempting them in the allotted time.
Course Structure at Ashoka University:-
Students interested to pursue Bachelors at Ashoka University have to pass courses that fall under three categories namely, Foundation Course, Major course and Co-Curricular course.
  • Foundation course:- Students have to study at least 7 Foundation Courses. There are different courses that fosters various styles of thinking in the inter-disciplinary areas. Seminars are conducted to enrich the academic programme which students have to attend during the course of their studies. The first seminar titled “Introduction to Critical Thinking” is conducted in the first semester itself. Students during their second semester add on to their knowledge quotient by participating in another seminar titled “Critical Thinking Seminar”. Students benefit in two ways, firstly their critical thinking abilities improves and secondly they are able to put forth their ideas in a better manner thereby improving their communication skills.

Unique Features of Ashoka University:-
Young India Fellowship:  It is a one-year multi-disciplinary post-graduate programme. Academically bright students coming from different academic disciplines are taught by faculty and scholars of national and international reputation. Skills crucial to achieving professional success are taught to these future professionals. Young India Fellowship Programme is a medium through which students develop skills such as critical thinking and writing skills, leadership and its connotations, group dynamics. The focus of the YIF programme is to help these young students to develop a collaborative and a problem- solving attitude, which further helps them to achieve professional success.
Internship Programme: Apart from theoretical knowledge, students have to gain practical knowledge by taking up projects at different companies. Internships play a very crucial role in helping students to build a perspective that takes into account multiple factors.                      
The Ashoka Scholars Programme: This programme allows the student to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies & Research. Students pursuing graduation and having 92 credits are eligible to take admission in Ashoka Scholars Programme (ASP) also known as Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies & Research. This programme opens doorways to exciting opportunities for higher studies in many countries. If students are keen to pursue this course, then they need to apply for admission by the end of the Monsoon semester of their third year.
