What is NCHM JEE Hotel Management?

What is the NCHM JEE Eligibility Criteria?
1. Candidates should have passed the 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board of secondary education with English as their core subject.
2. The candidates who are to take the entrance exam in 2024 must show and submit their 12th passing certificate for final admission at the time of the counselling.
3. The candidates who appear in the 12th exam and have their results awaited can also appear in the NCHM JEE.
4. Candidates with a supplementary in their 12th are not eligible to appear in the exam.
5. The candidates should ensure that the documents during the admission and the information they have provided while filling the form are valid and certificates are verified.
NCHM JEE Age Limit
General/OBC
For candidates from General, General (EWS) and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 25 years as of 01.07.2024. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1998, are eligible.
SC/ST
In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates and Physically challenged candidates, the upper age limit is 28 years as of 01.07.2024. That is SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates born on or after July 01, 1995, are eligible.
Date of birth as recorded in the Higher Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate will be considered and taken as authentic and as valid proof, which will be accepted for the test.
Physical Fitness
All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate of carrying out practical classes as required in the course at the time of admission from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.

NCHM JEE Admission Procedure
For NCHM JEE, aspirants should have studied five different subjects with English as a compulsory subject up to the 12th standard. The NCHM JEE examination consists of objective type questions based on the latest syllabus. The type of questions in the NCHM JEE varies for each section. Given below is the table of sections showing marks distribution and the number of questions that will be covered in all five sections of NCHM JEE:

Candidates will get 4 marks for every right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. According to their obtained ranks, upon qualifying NCHM JEE, students have to report for counselling at an IHM closest to their centre of examination. During the counselling session, students are asked to choose a college according to their score band range. Students are then allotted colleges participating in NCHM counselling or any IHMs, as per the student’s choice.
Reservation of Seats at NCHM Colleges
As per the guidelines ruled out by the Central government, candidates that belong to a specific category are admitted to seats reserved for them. The benefit of the reservation shall be given only to those classes/castes/tribes, which are mentioned below
- 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates
- 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates
- 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*
- 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.
- Reservation for Kashmiri Migrant / Kashmiri Pandits / Hindus (Non Migrants) residing in Kashmir Valley (subject to notification from Ministry of Education for Academic Session 2024-25).
