English Language
Reading passages containing around 450 words will be asked in CLAT 2023. After you've finished reading each of the texts, you'll be presented with a series of questions that are designed to assess your command of the language and challenge you to demonstrate that you are capable of doing tasks such as the following:
  • Create your ideas and inferences based on what you read in the texts.
  • Provide a synopsis of the material that was read.
  • Gain an understanding of the meanings of the words and phrases used in the paragraphs.
Current Affairs, including General Knowledge

  • Answers ought to place more of an emphasis on legal reasoning than on general knowledge. Information based on the law devoid of principles or opinions may influence responses.
  • The candidates are required to go through the legal processes of the various nations.
  • The applicant should practise the previous year's questions to minimise time demands since stress will destroy focus and thinking capacity during the exam. The candidate should practise the previous year's questions to stay up with the changes.
Logical Reasoning
  • You are expected to be familiar with the argument, placements, and conclusions before moving on to the next phase. You have read the paragraphs in question and are familiar with their arguments.

  • The applicant will need to practice with practice exams and questions to maintain their speed and accuracy.
  • Candidates can consult other works, such as "Critical Reasoning" by S. Chand and "Modern Critical Reasoning" by RS Agarwal.
CLAT 2023: Preparation Tips
Candidates interested in taking the CLAT in either 2023 or 2024 should give themselves around six to seven months to study for the test. They will witness an increase in their CLAT results proportionate to the amount of time they dedicate to preparing for the test. Candidates should do well to put some of the critical CLAT preparation ideas presented in the following paragraphs to good use.
Create a regular study routine for yourself.
Before commencing their preparations, students who wish to take the CLAT should first create a comprehensive study programme. They only have a few months to go through the vast quantity of information on the syllabus; as a result, they should spend anywhere from six to seven hours every day studying. Candidates should make every effort to complete their studies of the CLAT curriculum about two months before the exam date. You should spend the final two months of the semester going over content already taught to you, practising for prior tests, and going over sample questions and answers.
Draft your notes by hand and go through the material.
Candidates have to keep a few handwritten notes while readingclassic books or newspapers simultaneously. The preparation would move quickly and easily if you jotted down notes, underlined important themes, or drew flowcharts and diagrams. When you are in the last stages of preparation and need to examine many books in a very short period, the CLAT notes will also come in handy for you at this point.
Develop Your Reading Abilities to the Fullest Potential
When asked about their experience with the CLAT the year before, a sizeable proportion of former test-takers remarked that it was a lengthy examination with challenging subparts. It was challenging for them to complete the CLAT in the given two hours even though they had studied for the majority of the questions on the exam and knew the answers to those questions. Those who want to do well on the CLAT in 2022 or 2023 should thus consider analysing their past results and working to improve their reading skills. One of the most important aspects of getting ready for the CLAT is developing your speed reading skills without sacrificing your ability to understand the content of what you're reading.
Students may improve their reading ability for the CLAT 2022 and CLAT 2023 by making reading a regular part of their daily routines. Prior knowledge of English national publications like The Hindu and The Indian Express is recommended for candidates before the test. Candidates who want to enhance their reading skills and get more familiar with legal language would benefit tremendously from reading editorials, legal documents, and periodicals on the law.
Solve Mocks and Sample Paper for practice
Candidates are required to practise answering as many sample questions as possible. In general, candidates should prepare for the CLAT by studying previous years' question papers and practising with around 30–40 sample questions. With the help of the CLAT mock examinations, the candidates will better grasp the degree of difficulty, question patterns, and several other key aspects of the paper. Applicants will, most importantly, establish the habit of responding to CLAT paper questions within the proper amount of time as a result of working through these practice questions.
