MH-CET LAW 2024 Notification - Important dates and related information

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MH-CET Law is a state level entrance exam that facilitates admission into 3-year and 5-year integrated law courses. Accepted across multiple colleges in Maharashtra, the examination is 2 hours long and consists of 120 questions in total. The exam is divided into 5 sections mainly with one mark awarded for every right answer. There is no negative marking.
MH-CET Law 2024: Important Updates
  • MH-CET 2025 has been held successfully in the month of March. Official dates for the upcoming year have not been released as of now.
  • It is important to note that the MH-CET Law Entrance Exam Pattern has changed recently. Previously, the exam consisted of a total of 150 questions, however, now the total number of questions have been reduced to 120. The total time remains the same at 120 minutes.
  • The Entrance Exam is conducted in a Computer Based Mode and leverages two languages, English and Marathi.
  • For the 2026 exam cycle, official notification is expected around late November this year and the application process is likely to begin in December or January 2026.
The entrance examination takes place in 18 cities within Maharashtra with more than 150 universities accepting the exam score for various law courses. MH-CET Law is a Computer Based Test.
