MH-CET Law 2021 Exam Analysis

MH-CET Law is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education for admissions to law programmes in the top law colleges in Maharashtra. Due to COVID, a few changes were made and the exam was delayed.
On October 8, 2021, the MH CET Law 5-year undergraduate admission test was successfully held around the country. From 09.00 AM to 11.00 AM, the first shift of the MH CET Law 5-year entrance test 2021 was held. The first shift of the MH CET Law test 2021 has an Easy to Moderate difficulty level. However, the second shift ran from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and was of Easy to Moderate difficulty level. The MH CET Law (5 Year B.A. LLB) 2021 examination is administered using a computer-based test (CBT) technique at specified examination centres outside of Maharashtra and the state.

First Shift
  • The exam was conducted in 2 shifts –Morning and Afternoon shift.
  • The exam was of easy to moderate level of difficulty.
  • Legal Reasoning section was the toughest of all.
Second Shift
  • The second shift was conducted from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
  • The exam difficulty level  was easy to moderate.
  • Current affairs questions from the morning shift were repeated in this shift.
  • Legal Aptitude and Reasoning is one of the most difficult section of all.

When compared to other portions, this section was. There was a Reading Comprehension section with ten questions. The ten questions are on synonyms and antonyms, as well as understanding. There were detecting errors, fill in the blanks, and Para jumbles. The questions were of a low difficulty level. Overall, the section was easy to attempt.

MH-CET Law Mathematical Aptitude
This section contains everything you learned in school and is the shortest and most difficult. The questions include subjects such as speed and distance, data sufficiency, simple interest, compound interest, and profit and loss, among others. All you need to do is practise more and more to become familiar with the fundamental concepts and formulae. Students can get 7+ points in this part, which is an excellent effort.

The part included questions from arrangements and puzzles. The majority of the exam questions were of moderate complexity and could be readily handled if the applicant practised properly. The majority of the questions were based on Syllogisms, Statement-assumptions, Coding-Decoding, and a few Data Sufficiency problems

The section was balanced, including questions from both Current Affairs and Static GK. Current affairs questions were centred on the Nobel Prize, and a few questions on Maharashtra, which made it easier for applicants from that state. Overall, the exam was of moderate difficulty.

MH-CET Law Legal Aptitude and Reasoning
The legal aptitude and reasoning sections were challenging, but the law students handled them effectively. Aspirants who rehearsed answering principle-based questions would have been more at ease taking the section. Contracts, criminal, torts, and family law-related issues were posed in this area. Except for the constitution, nearly all of the legal aptitude subjects were addressed.
