JIPMAT 2026
JIPMAT 2026, or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test, is a unique opportunity for 12th-grade students to pursue an IPM at IIM Jammu or IIM Bodhgaya. Conducted by the NTA, this 5-year integrated program covers BBA and MBA degrees. The JIPMAT application forms are expected to be available in February 2026. The exam lasts 150 minutes (2.5 hours) and consists of 100 questions in Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.
JIPMAT is an alternative to gain admission to your preferred IIMs. The competition in JIPMAT is lower than that of the CAT exam. Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts/commerce/science stream
or equivalent in the year 2023, 2024 or are appearing in 2025. The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination in the year not before 2021. JIPMAT Preparation Tips
Preparing for JIPMAT 2026 requires strategic planning despite its perceived ease compared to other competitive exams. With around 7,000 to 8,000 candidates competing for 120 seats (60 seats for IIM Jammu and 60 seats for IIM Bodh Gaya), consider the following tips:
- Prioritize Strengths: Begin by revising your strengths from the last three years of school before addressing weaknesses.
- Utilize Breaks Effectively: Incorporate tasks during breaks that indirectly contribute to JIPMAT preparation, such as reading books and making notes.
- Focus on VARC Last: Many find VARC the easiest section; therefore, it's recommended to leave its preparation towards the end.
- Mock Tests and Previous Papers: It is recommended to solve as many mock tests as possible and review previous question papers from IPMAT to get an idea of the difficulty level of JIPMAT.
- Math Review: Brush up on Math concepts from classes 10, 11, and 12 to solidify your preparation for the Quantitative Ability section.
