The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is an esteemed exam conducted by the National Law University (NLU) Delhi. It is the gateway to the highly sought-after 5-year B.A LL.B integrated program. This pen and paper-based (offline) exam consists of 150 questions (consisting of 1 mark each) covering English Language, General Knowledge (including Current Affairs), and Logical Reasoning. The exam is 2 hours long and has a negative marking of -0.25 on each wrong question.
Important Note: The official date for AILET 2026 has been released. The exam will be conducted on December 14, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Registrations are open now and the last date to submit applications is November 10, 2025

What is AILET exam eligibility for BA LLB (Hons.)?
The basic eligibility for BA LLB (Hons.) for NLU Delhi is that candidate should have passed class 10+2 or an equivalent exam and securing an aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks (42% in case of OBC's and 40% for SC/ST/Person with Disability). The Eligibility criteria for admission of students under the Foreign Nationals Category shall be 65% marks in class 10+2.
Is there any age limit for AILET?
There is no upper age limit for AILET 2026 applications.
How many seats are there in NLU Delhi?
110+10 total seats [110 merit-based seats through the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 merit-based seats for direct admission to foreign nationals] [5 seats for foreign nationals and 5 seats for OCI/PIO].
