CLAT 2026 Notification | CLAT Important Dates | CLAT Exam Date

The Consortium of NLUs has announced the exam date for CLAT 2026, scheduled for December 7th, 2025,. The admit cards for the exam are also available to be downloaded from the official website. The exam will be conducted on pen and paper. The admission notification will be released by the exam conducting authority.
The Common Law Admission Test, or commonly referred to as ‘ CLAT’ is the main exam for admission to any of the 22 National Law Universities. Earlier, the National Law Universities (NLUs) conducted CLAT rotationally. However, from 2019, the exam is being organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities. CLAT 2026 will have 120 questions divided into 5 sections.
25 NLUs participate in CLAT except for NLU Delhi, which conducts AILET for admissions to integrated law programs. Other than the NLUs, many private and government institutions also accept CLAT scores as their admission requirement for admissions to law programmes.
