CUCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an entrance exam for UG courses in 14 Central Universities. CUCET 2021 will be conducted in mid- May, and the result will be announced in June. The test is conducted once a year and is carried out in offline mode. CUCET is a test that is conducted by the joint venture of almost 14 Central Universities and 4 State Universities across India to offer admission into around 408 courses to the eligible candidates. CUCET 2021 is held in two parts, A & B, for entrance into UG programs.
Before filling up the Admission Form for the examination, a candidate should be familiar with the eligibility criteria of CUCET 2021. CUCET 2021: Eligibility for Undergraduate Program
The eligibility criteria for CUCET 2021 undergraduate admission are:
  • Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 examination in the General category and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates should have taken up subjects in +2 depending upon the course they opt for.
  • Candidate should be of Indian nationality.
  • College final year graduates can apply for the course.
  • The eligibility of age limit of the candidate should be according to the Participating Universities criteria.
  • Candidates should apply in maximum of three Participating Universities with maximum of three options of the programmes selected under CUCET.
  • Applicants can apply for CUCET while attempting the qualifying examination of the University, however, they would have to produce the passing certificate at the time of counselling.
Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before applying for any programme as every course has different eligibility criterion according to the Participating Universities. Applicants are themselves responsible if they apply to a programme in which they are not eligible. Concerned Participating Universities have the right to cancel admission at any point in time if the candidates do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Also, concerned Participating Universities take profoundly serious action for the students who produce false documents in order to meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants are advised that they read the concerned eligibility criteria before submitting their CUCET application form.
