All about AILET 2016

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conventionally conducted on the first Sunday of May, once every year by National Law University, Delhi. It is a national level exam which is conducted at 19 centers across the country. Besides CLAT, this examination is considered to be one of the most coveted law entrance exams in India. NLU-Delhi however does not participate in CLAT and has been conducting this exam admissions into for B.A LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D in law. It is extremely important to remember that unlike CLAT it is a paper-pen based exam.

Eligibility for under-graduate programmes:

  1. A candidate should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with a 50% score
  2. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2016 can also apply

Registration Procedure:
  • Requirements for filling the application form:
    1. Valid Email address
    2. Valid Mobile Number
    3. Scanned copy of your photograph (not more than 150 KB)
  • On the login page, click on the Register to apply now
  • Complete the registration procedure to create a login
  • After you Login in the first page that is displayed is "Application Locker". Click on NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY from the List of colleges
  • Choose your application form and click on Apply Button and fill all details and submit the application. Incomplete forms will be rejected
  • In the Application Locker, under the Pending Applications area, choose your forms for which you wish to make payment and Click on Make Payment
  • Payment can be made by the following ways:
    1. Cash deposit at post office
    2. Online payment using Debit cards/ Credit cards/ Net banking
  • Download the Admit Card
Admission Procedure:

After appearing the AILET exam, the student will get an All India Rank. A merit list will be released thereafter, based on which National Law University, Delhi conducts offline counseling
